As has been shown on various occasions, different word order permutations and stress patterns express dif

Le num茅ro th茅matique "Pour une grammaire du geste : explorations crois茅es" s鈥檌nspire du souci de proposer une 茅tude syst茅matique et objective des gestes, prise dans des enjeux aussi bien th茅oriques que pratiques.
Traditionnellement l鈥櫭﹖ude des gestes ne fait pas partie des 茅tudes linguistiques au sens strict car, rang茅s sous l鈥櫭﹖iquette de la communica
This book offers both an empirical examination of language ideologies and language policies in post-Arab Spring Tunisia and a detailed critical and interdisciplinary model of Language Policy and Planning (LPP). The authors present a comprehensive picture of how multiple language ideologies interact and play out as language policy against a background of political turmoil in a country with a complex history of indigenous and colonial languages. They utilise critical perspectives from Sociolinguis

Like other languages, English has ways of expressing evidentiality, in other words, ways of expressing the provenance of information from a knowledge base. One such form is the English evidential -ly adverb. The evidential -ly adverbs analysed in this book are: reportedly, purportedly, allegedly, supposedly, evidently, presumably, seemingly, apparently, obviously, clearly, visibly. Using the NOW corpus (News on the Web), the adverbs were extracted with context from UK newspapers. The theoretical
