Biography:
Stephen Peters is of settler origin from Red Deer, Alberta, Treaty 7 country. Stephen has worked as part of the directorship team of 成人大片 University鈥檚 Office of First Nations and Inuit Education from 2018 until 2024. In this position, Stephen collaborated with Kativik Ilisarniliriniq, the Cree School Board, the Naskapi Education Committee, the Listuguj Education Directorate, the Kahnawake Education Centre, and the Mohawk Language Custodian Association to develop and administer In-Community teacher education, professional development, and leadership programs. Stephen currently serves as a Faculty Lecturer for the Department of Integrated Studies in Education teaching communication in education courses.
