When CBC Radio鈥檚 Metro Morning announced Kanwar Anit Singh Saini, MSc(A)鈥�11, as a nominee for 鈥楾orontonian of the year鈥� in 2016, it came as a 鈥渉uge surprise鈥� to Saini.
Perhaps it shouldn鈥檛 have.
Since moving to Toronto from his native Montreal, Kanwar Anit Singh Saini, MSc(A)鈥�11, a speech language pathologist (SLP), has found many novel ways to give back to his community.
There is the volunteer work he undertook to ease the transition for newly arrived Syrian refugees.
This award was established through a grant to the Acoustical Society Foundation in 1998 to honor the memory of Professor Raymond H. Stetson, a pioneer investigator in phonetics and speech science. The purpose of the scholarship is to facilitate the research efforts of promising graduate students.听听
